Why does it have fashion-wise as a mandatory skill? What´s been the historical source* of inspiration for that skill?

The skill is obligatory because not matter what else you could n ot have passed through the life path of one part of the man-boy love thing whithout at least some knowledge of how to dress and use this as a means of communication. Even if you went on to do other things that had nothing to do with fashion, you would still remeber the basics. The experience has changed you.
