Am I missing something really obvious, or does the Dwarven trait Avarice really spike Greed incredibly fast? See, if Avarice makes any Greed test the “correct” type, then simply being exposed to a series of (normally) routine Ob. 1 Greed tests (such as “always taking the biggest portion”) would drive a Dwarf up to 10 Greed in no time.

Am I missing something here? Because that doesn’t seem right…

You earn Greed tests for advancement as normal. Except when you’re one test away. When you’re one test away, the next test you earn advances you.

So yes, it’s very fast. But not quite as fast as you’re thinking.

Ah, okay, that makes sense, and strikes me as far more reasonable.
