Ob 7 Corruption (p. 260) includes:

“Commanding a spirit service from a demon (as per Summoning).”

This is similar to language listings for social service (ob 4) and physical service < that leads to something> (ob 5, 6).

But what is “spirit service”? That’s not a category in Summoning like “social” or “physical”. We have (326-326):

  • Physical
  • Economic
  • Social
  • Empowerment
  • Transference
  • Revelation

I’m guessing this wording is a holdover from a previous version of Summoning? What’s it intended to align to? The last three? Or maybe just Empowerment and Transference?

How do you interpret this?

I see it as Empowerment and Transference; letting the profane into your body and soul is bound to leave a mark.
