I don’t know why you’re fishing for more here. There’s no more to tying than it says on page 115. Both sides accomplish their goals. That’s it.

The reason I’m fishing for more is clarified by how Aramis puts it: there is a chance that the opposing goals cannot both be accomplished. And that case can be broken down to neither goal happening, or some kind of middle ground.

I am going case by case! In my opinion, when the book says “both sides accomplish their goals”, it sounds too black-and-white.

You really just need to try it out a few times. It’s usually gut wrenching.
