Let’s say a party member doesn’t have the skill to help or the I Am Wise that is applicable. They must sit out? Why can’t a Wizard try to distract by yelling, throwing stones or sand, etc? Seems a little off that if a party member wants to help somehow they can’t at all?
Without a skill or wise, your aid just isn’t useful.
Also: everyone can help in a Kill conflict, because Defend & Maneuver are done with Health – the wizard distracting could easily fit into either of those categories. They just won’t be able to help on Fight/Feint actions without Fighter (or an appropriate Wise) or something like Eldritch Darts.
