Liked the review. Very honest and I would agree that MouseGuard is its own beast and not “lite” anything. I fiercely defend this game when talking with close minded D&D’ers and players of traditional RPG’s. I find most folks who play only one style of RPG have a hard time adapting to something new. And instead of learning and understanding the game they try to mold it into a traditional RPG. Which means they are only playing the game wrong.
MouseGuard has to be my top RPG of all time. It has shoved a few games down the list. Really love how different and true to the subject matter it is. EPIC storytelling at its finest about the tiniest Heroes.
