Just a quickie. Using a Survivalist roll to establish a safe camp location: is this a Camp check or a Adventuring phase roll that advances the Grind?

It feels like it should be the former, but p82 states

Roll Camp Events BEFORE spending checks
Roll Survivalist to find suitable site BEFORE Camp Events

In which case, presumably it’s the last Adventuring phase roll before the Camp phase proper starts.
Or is it a freebie? A roll you can make that neither advances the Grind nor uses up a Check?

It’s done during the Adventure Phase.

A player could make it an Instinct. Then the check would be free.

Which is what he’s done. I just wasn’t clear if it was the 1st check of the Camp phase or the last check of the Adventure phase.
