What does "Binder" do?

Sorcerers Precedence for Binding?

I have a Sorcerer player who could hit level 3 next session. One benefit is Binder: Increase your Precedence for the purpose of binding by one. My question is this, aren’t binding conflicts exclusively about Might or am I misreading it? Lore Masters Manual P110. Bind Order of Might - You may bind spirits or demons whose Might is equal to or less than yours. Should it be a precedence increase for the purposes of stuff related to summoning?
