I’ve got a MacBook Pro, 10.6.8. In trying to print the IE_cs_r5.pdf sheet that is currently on the wiki, I notice that:
With Preview, all of the letter "A"s set in Europa Grotesque disappear
With Acrobat Pro 9.3.2, it appears fine onscreen, but all the text set in Europa… when printed, stack the letters so each word is one character wide.
Any ideas?
I had the same problem.
Two solutions:
1 use Acrobat and, in your print driver, on the copies&pages pane, click advanced, check “print as image”. This should work.
1.1 don’t forget to set the maximum resolution your printer will do. Then use a photocopier and that one good print.
2 pick a moderately-high zoom, cmd-opt-4 to screen capture a chunk, then in a graphics program stitch them together, and then print the final image…
