Beginners Guide to Mouse Guard - i want to do this

I am thinking of writing a “Beginners Guide to Mouse Guard” this year.
Stuff i want to include

  • Hot to write good Beliefs and Instincts
  • How to challenge them
  • How to design a good mission
  • How to get the most out of your conflict (description, help and GOAL SETTING)
  • My theory on the thinking process when facing an obstacle
  • How to get the most out of Recruitment ( a bit of CharOp yeah, i thought about this a lot)
  • A discussion of a few skills
  • How to get the most out of the Players Turn
  • How to get the most out of the Winter Session
  • New kinds of conflicts (building a damn, medicine conflict etc.)

One or two missions and pregens. Also a Discussion on how a Mouse might have changed after X sessions. (using my players characters)

what do you think needs to be in there that i haven’t thought about?

How not to handle failed rolls.

I’d love to contribute to this work.

Are you thinking of a .pdf publication?

yeah, free published pdf actually. Would love to have you on board but i won’t start really working until spring. Have two AW Playbooks to finish before and tons of college stuff.

As a new GM (Starting MG tonight actually…), I’d be very interested in hearing what sort of advice you have on the topics listed. Any chance I could convince you to post some of that good stuff here to start with ?
