Can Practical Magic be used to help on other skills?

If a sorcerer has Practical Magic, and they have, say Social magic trained, could the sorcerer use their Sorcery skill for help on other social tests. For example, if someone is persuading, can they give 1 help die with their B3 Sorcery, even if they don’t have Persuasion?
