Confusion about the Greater muse trait.

Burning up an artist and trying to wrap my head around the greater muse trait. Does it work with people or concepts or just other art? Thinking about the Florentines as an example and their love of all things Roman. Lets say my painter sees a book on Roman architecture and is inspired by it does that provide the impetus to shade shift their painting skill? What if it was a person? Say Shakespeares dark lady?

The trait is very clear. It’s an art form. For inspiration, the art form must be witnessed in the flesh so to speak. So a book on architecture isn’t enough. You must be within a grand construct to gain inspiration.

That’s how I was leaning, kind of like you have to go to the Pantheon to really appreciate freestanding domes. Super awesome trait btw… And painters get it cheap!
