I was rereading the Death Art rules and love it, it’s convoluted and rigorous and was wondering if there was any conceivable way to put them into a demo scenario to show off this aspect of the game. But the trouble is that by the nature of it being easy to fall off the path never to return onto it it’d make a really bad situation if that was all there was to it. How has it come into play in your games and how did it interact with the situation?
Didn’t get too deep into it, but in one campaign I had a villainous wizard sacrifice a well-known NPC with blood magic, then use the dice gained to cause the body to Rise! so that it would hold a player character hostage while he furthered his own evil agenda.
Player OoC reaction: “eew.”
