It was my compromise in the conflict with the giant spider in the tower. We drove it off, but poor Deleran got the Afraid condition.

Yeah, I mean, the thing was on top of you, ready to sink it’s venomous fangs into soft, soft elf flesh.

I loved it the next scene where everyone was trying to help identify the carvings on an ivory box and Deleran stood there dumbly with his thousand yard stare.
