I love all the details of the system but fear both my lack of knowledge of Europe in 1848 to pull off the setting believably and my skill to create interesting and captivating encounters. Anyone have suggestions?
Have you read the Three Musketeers, Red Sphinx, Twenty Years After or the Captain Alatriste novels? If so, you’re equipped to run the game. If not, you’re missing out!

Yes to Three Musketeers and Captain Alatriste (Hey Luke thats Spain!).
I have The Vicomte de Bragelonne by Dumas (I think that includes Twenty Years After) but have not read it yet.
Of course I’ve also watched the 1970’s Musketeer films with Micheal York (including the hard to find “Return of the Four Musketeers”.
If that prepares me maybe I could run a short game at GaryCon this next March. Or better yet, how about if you join us Luke and run a game of M&M?
