Margin of success?

I script Close Combat. You script Observe or whatever, anything that means my CC is an Independent test. I roll. I get 2 successes. Is my margin of success 0 or 1? (I’ll assume this logic applies to any other instance where “margin of success” meets “Independent test”.)
