MG RPG 2e Conflict Chart Error?

Good day,

I have been a big fan of this game, even though I’ve only run it twice; once in 1e and once in 2e. I’m planning on running it for my family this weekend. I pulled out my beautiful box set and was reminded of an issue I discovered years ago when I received it.

I am almost certain the first and second results of the Feint column on pg111 (and all subsequent printed sheets) are reversed. The Feint column should read, top to bottom, - / I / V / I.

That way it reads the same way it does as the Feint row from left to right. I re-read the rules, and since the Feint Action versus Attack doesn’t result in an Indy or Vs then it would make sense. I haven’t been able to find any mention of this in any other errata online. (Maybe I’m just too late to the party…)

Anyone able to clarify?

Just re-re-read the Feint rule, and Feint - Defend is no roll.

So the Feint column is correct, and the row is wrong? Should read:

I / - / V / I

left to right?

Never mind. Had someone on Reddit explain it to me. The “instigator” determines the column, the “defender” determines the row.
