Mice have no chance. Weasels 4ever

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/14/science/weasels-are-built-for-the-hunt.html

“After eating the residents, the weasel lines its new dwelling [mice’s little dome-shaped nests under the snow] in rodent fur to improve insulation.”

Aren’t weasels a full two notches below porcupines on the Might scale?

“The fisher, a particularly fearless weasel in the marten branch, may be the only North American carnivore to have mastered the art of dining on adult porcupine.”

!!!

Martens are 6 on the Natural Order Scale – the same as foxes, badgers and raccoons. Porcupines are 5 and weasels are 4.

that’s a very enjoyable article.
