Anyway - love the idea of this :slight_smile:
But a question for the base’s Operating Costs…
When the players leave the base and test Operating costs vs Base Rating - if the roll fails the Rating is taxed… Is this just straight out lowering the value, or is it temporarily taxed and can be recovered somehow (like “get a job” in BW).

Is the only way the base rating able to be improved is via “experience” ie - many rolls?
Would it be possible to find “loot/supplies” that would act like treasures in Torchbearer and give one off bonuses to Operating costs?

In TB, there’s no temporary tax on Resources. The rating is reduced.

And yes, loot and supplies can be used like cash to up the base rating.
