Curious why Academic is 6 times as slow as learning something like Sword.
Cuts and parries can be iterated a hundred times in an hour, while one often needs to read hundreds of pages of writing, with annotation and follow-up research, in order to display a marked increase in their mastery of that subject. Reading and Writing are taught across multiple years in education systems today, while my brother was able to pick up swordplay and begin utilizing takedowns in sparring matches after 8-12 sessions of practice.
