So, as it turns out, all of our packing and wrapping was for naught. So far, there are three copies reported damaged.
Ok, here’s the deal. The damaged copy is numbered and unique. It is what it is. I can’t (and won’t) renumber and resign a copy.
However, if the book is unuseable (or really unsightly), then I will replace it with another copy. If that copy gets damaged, well, the Doomsday Machine Aptly Named the United States Post Office has it in for both of us.
