Hey! It’s my first thread on this forum, sorry if I write weirdly and make some stupid, basic mistakes, I don’t know English very well. I want to ask you, is the archipelago like on this map would work in Torchbearer? Many cities are unreachable unless you sail to them. I don’t know how big it should be, but I draw it with in mind it would be around 150 km long and just as wide. I’m preparing for my first session in this system, so if you have advice on whether this map is okay or not and what I should change, I will be thankful.
Hi there. That’s a beautiful map!
Yes, it will work just fine. If you don’t have it already, I recommend picking up the Lore Master’s Manual. It has rules for travel, ships and weather.
Unfortunately, I don’t have it, at least not yet, but maybe when we play some I will buy it. Also, I don’t have money now.
No worries! It’s not required, it just adds more detail around those things. You can get by with just the Sailor skill in the Dungeoneer’s Handbook.
Absolutely amazing map! I love the addition of the various monsters, the trade routes, the burning village. Lots to inspire adventures!
I wouldn’t worry too much. One great thing about Torchbearer is that it focuses on the interesting bits of the story; so, the key is how difficult the journey between places is, not how physically far.
Wow, what a beauty!
