Boxed Set Coming?

Excellent.

If it’s not printed in China that will be icing on cake. Nothing against Chinese folks as folks but between currency manipulation, Tibet and locking up people for advocating peaceful change, it bugs me how much of my mainstream game stuff comes from that country.

Korea, I think.

Do want. Will get.

X3

Excellent x2, thanks Luke.

Sorry guys, just got back around to checking the forums… I was just wondering if anyone has an idea when this awesomeness is going to be available? I’m not looking for a set-in-stone date, and I won’t bite anyone’s head off or moan if that date does come and the box set is late, but I’d just like a rough idea of how long I need to be excited for?

Thanks!

David has posted images and details on the contents of the box on his blog - looks gorgeous!

Wow that looks amazing!

If you guys keep uping the ante like this I will more than gladly keep buying the same book over and over again.

*The plan is to release the supplement booklet as a .pdf purchase so that players who already have the original RPG hardcover are not forced to buy the boxed set in order to take advantage of the new rules.

Thank you.

Only ten dice? The black bear and the moose have natures of 12!

Roll for one paw, then the other.

Sold!

Thanks for the links. I know what my Christmas present is!!

Wow! This is awesome! I will definitely pick this box set up.

Phew, I was checking the Forums( In a long time. ) to see if their was any reprinting of the game.( I do hate when good games die… ).
Oh boy, was i in for a treat or what!
It feels good to see that the Hardcover Book will be reprinted aswell as a Softcover Version that is shipped as part of a Box with joyfull goodness!
I hope the Softcover holds the same quality ( I do hate when my RPG-Books falls apart ).

None the less looks like December will be an awesome month!

It’s December! What’s the word on the boxed set?

I’ve not seen anything from either of the creators for a while and David Petersen’s blog hasn’t mentioned it for some time though he does an update usually on a Tuesday. With the release of the Legends of the Guard trade and the new Black Axe series, it’s gone quiet on the RPG front - maybe next week we’ll get more info. I’ve asked him stuff before via the net, but don’t think he likes replying via twitter so I have decided not to disturb him for quite a while.

Just checked Amazon (US and UK - nowt on UK) -

http://www.amazon.com/Mouse-Guard-Roleplaying-Game-Box/dp/1936393174/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1292140803&sr=8-2

Release date: December 28, 2010

Previously the release date on Amazon seemed to be pushed back into 2011. Not sure what is correct, we’ll have to wait for news from those involved.

You understand that neither David nor I are the publisher, right? We’re just the artist and the designer, respectively.

Archaia is the publisher. They handle all of the printing and sales. If you have questions about that stuff, I’m sure they’d be happy to answer. Here’s how you can contact them:

m.caylo@archaia.com
Twitter: @Archaia

Yep, of course I understand that side of things (if you were asking me?).
But since this is the MG RPG forum, wouldn’t you expect fans to talk about and ask about release dates on here too?
I tend not to go on the main Archaia site, there was a file on there my PC (and virus scanner) didn’t quite like, but I’ll definitely contact them so peeps on here can have an answer.

Thanks for doing the busy work for us

I only wanted to know if I was going to get this as a christmas present so I can start running Mouse Guard RPG sessions again.

It’s perfectly cool to talk about it here. We just don’t have any control over when it gets out to stores, and it’s frustrating to us too.
