I don’t have my copy of the game with me, but I believe the colors here are not to far from one of the illos.
Going by cloak color, don’t they represent Saxon, Kenzie, Lieam, <yellow?>, and Sadie?
I think the colors would be fine if the pieces were really made of wood. Not plastic imitating wood. Plastic just doesn’t do it justice. Sorry, this comment isn’t much help.

I agree regarding the colors. They don’t look earthy enough, too plastic and modern. They don’t look anything at all like something you would find on a medieval mouse gaming table like in the Mouse Guard pictures. Don’t get me wrong. I’m so thankful they are making this box set, but if I’m puting out the money for it, I have the right to complain a little. Maybe they’ll look different by the time they come out.
I pre-ordered the box set from Trollandtoad on March and it says the release date is 31th August. I have been waiting for months, my excitiment is getting bigger. I just hoped it would be ready by the time we had a convention in here, Turkey-Izmir, but unfortunately it wasn’t and isn’t. I want to organize a Mouse Guard Game Day when I got it. I checked Petersen’s blog for some details about the set and it looks amazing. What I am most exited about is dices. I was going to order blank dices from chessex to paint some symbols on them from MG.
I’m looking forward to it.
Uh, I thought it was going to be ready for GenCon (aug. 4-7). Well, maybe T&T date is just a tentative. We really hope to get this box soon.

T&T will put in a date and when you go past it they’ll just move it forward a day at a time until they receive the item. Don’t count on them to know the correct release date.
The book set looks really great, I can’t wait to snag a copy!
Will the BW store be selling these or will they be sold elsewhere only?

I can’t believe that you guys have not figured out that I’m the only one who actually knows anything – so if I don’t know anything, T&T doesn’t know anything.
It’s at the factory. It has not shipped. It is not in the States. No one knows when it will actually be in the States. We are hoping to have it for Gen Con.
Everyday is a little bit closer to it being mine… all mine! (And every other forward thinking/economy boosting individual!)

Luke will invariably prefer ordering from him directly as it means less parties to split money between.
I know that Luke is not the publisher of the Boxed set, ASP is. That being true, I do not even know if he will be selling it directly.
As far as ASP goes, I am not impressed with their direct distribution. Hence, my question.
Due to the arcane nature of the publishing world, I will not be able to provide preorders. Nor will I be able to take direct orders for quite some time.
