Boxed Set Coming?

Oh! I forgot that Mouse Guard is released through a different company. So you can’t pre-order them through GHQ. Durrr! I’m such a n00b. lol

Well it’s cool we got a estimate now and it’s a couple months sooner than we thought.

Well that is a bummer

Ah great damiller!
It’s definitely been moved back from the original Christmas date then. It seems to be keeping pace with the upcoming The One Ring rpg (Lord of the Rings) which was announced in January 2010 for a late release in 2010, which has been pushed back to Summer 2011. Which one will get out first… Mouse or Elf?

My local Borders Bookstore (Oakridge Mall, San Jose) has a copy of the Mouse Guard rpg right now. It’s actually really well stocked with RPGs for a major book store.

You might find it available if you look.

I have tried every book store and game and comic shop in the area and can not get the book locally…

:frowning:

Amazon release date: July/12/2011

You’ve all figured out that Amazon just makes that stuff up, right? That date means nothing.

I just ended up buying the PDF from the burningempires store. I printed myself on our laser printer with heavy cardstock covers and a piece of cardstock between every chapter. Then I took it to Staples and they coil bound it for me.

A handful of stick-on index tabs with labels later, I have a easily-usable sourcebook. In black-and-white, sure, but it cost me a total of $15 for the PDF, $6 for the coil binding, and under $10 for the printing, I think.

I just couldn’t wait.

The last info about the box reveals its expected to come out in March, and at the latest it would be April. So, its coming, just need to wait bit longer.

Im most looking forward to the first Sourcebook, MG would certainly benefit from a few well crafted expansions.

Where does this info come from?

Not going to be out in March. Think maybe along the possible maybe might lines of Gen Con 2011.

I looked and found in a few boards around the net but apparently it came from this very thread in post #60

But if Luke says, Gen Con 2011, it means August, which makes me a sad panda =/

I hope you guys are thinking of a big enough shipment to rival D&D 4E, its about time to finish it off :stuck_out_tongue:

i fear there won’t be enough boxes around by the time i can afford it

Same here. Specially because, being from South America, Gen Con 2011 it’s kinda out of my reach xD
I would be very interested in getting my paws on one of those, so I guess I better start saving!
The one thing i didn’t understand: Will there be any kind of pre-order or something like that?

You need to ask the people at ASP.

Im from South America too, are you also from Brazil??

Ofc! Pre-order is the best way to ensure a copy when the box comes out and takes over the world!
There should be pre-order available at several sites such as barnes & noble, coolstuffinc, ccgarmory, amazon, etc…

A little more to the south: Argentina, Buenos Aires xD

I’ll keep an eye open for news, both at this forum and at those sites you mentioned. Thanks a lot !

Hmm, I pre-ordered this from Troll and Toad. They charged my CC the other day, but the due date keeps getting pushed forwards in two day increments such that it’s always two days away! I wonder if it is truly imminent… Anyone else have experience with them charging for a product long before they ship it? I emailed them but no reply.

Troll and Toad has always been exceptional to deal with for ordering minis and stuff through ebay. However, I’d be pleasantly surprised to see the boxed set before this summer.

Luke Crane just tweeted this picture and David Petersen retweeted it.

[edit] oops, here’s the link [edit]

Like the sculpts, not crazy about the bright colors. I know they need to be distinctive, but more natural and subtle colors would be more keeping with the overall theme of the game.
