I’m actually away from my home country, USA, right now and low on money so I had to cancel my pre-order. REALLY didn’t want to do that, but oh well. I hope they made enough copies for me to buy it some time later. I’ll be really sad if they all sell out.
Has it been confirmed if the box set will be available at GenCon yet?
Picked it up at Gencon and I tell you this, it is pretty sweet!
We guessed that, but the question still is when is it being released to the public? It was stated this month but no one has given the word as to when and at this time it seems too late in the month not to have an official date, if distributors are going to be able to have it on their shipping orders, if it was going to be released soon.
Has anyone heard anything recently? I just want to know a little more than “sometime” becuase I feel like I am dangling on a thread between BWG and this box set.
Call me anxious.

Does the Boxed set contain new missions?
(I’m picking it up for the dice alone, but hey, pimp it up as much as possible

The boxed set contains: a screen, dice, map, character sheets, gm sheets, pawns, a rulebook and a supplement book containing new missions and new rules.

I noticed that the dice in the boxed set are basically fudge dice, is a fudge style mechanic coming with the new rules?
No, they’re just fancy d6s. The core game mechanics are unchanged.
Keep an eye out at comic/book stores - Diamond Publishers have it on their list for this week (as in today, though I won’t get to check till tomorrow and usually it’s later in UK) on the Previews website -

That company deal with comics, have a link to Dark Horse Comics. Looked at Amazon USA and that has the game down for January next year. Good old Amazon lol.

i spotted 1 copy at my local comic book store/game store (Emerald Knights in Burbank, CA)
I can confirm the boxed set was waiting for me when I visited my local comic shop today My shop quite often gets stuff when the bigger stores don’t - I didn’t see the game in Forbidden Planet nor Worlds Apart (Liverpool). Gorgeous set, had a quick look through it just now. And lol, what a funny week - got the “The One Ring” rpg this week, through a special pre-order from Cubicle 7. A good week, after such a horrendous week last week in the UK.
Looks like you can find this through Barnes and Noble. It’s expected after 9/13/2011 and also is 35% off.
My FLGS has it and now so do I! Awesome stuff!
How limited is the box set’s run going to be? My resources are taxed thanks to PAX Prime travel expenses at the moment, but I’d hate to miss out on this.
With the last count that I heard, I’d be surprised if stock lasts until the end of the month.

Is there going to be a second publisher for the uk like with the book?
I’ve not seen it available over here without costly overseas postage from the US.
